When we moved to the United States in 1977, My parents worked very hard to make ends meet. There were times that steak or short ribs were not on our menu. My mom would make this delicious dish of pasta, ground meat and tomato sauce. My brothers favorite meal

Pasta and meat sauce
Tenderize meat with kosher ( coarse) salt for an hour then rinse and prepare to ground
1 pound ground or chipped meat
2 onions ground or finely chopped
1/4 cup Oil for frying olive oil
3 cups pasta of your choice
1 tablespoon salt and more if needed to taste
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh garlic chopped
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 cup Diced tomatoes with basil, garlic
1/2 cup Tomatoe sauce basil and garlic
Red pepper flakes for dusting
Sauté meat with onions till all of the liquid is evaporated add spices sauté, then add tomatoes and sauce. Sauté for another 10 minutes.
Boil pasta till aldente, drain pasta and mix with meat sauce.
Dust lightly with dry red pepper flakes
Serve and enjoy
