Ingredients
- 2 Crumpets
- 2 teaspoon Butter
- 50 g Extra Mature Cheddar grated
- ¼ teaspoon Marmite
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350F).
- Air fry the crumpets for 2 minutes.2 Crumpets
- Spread on the butter and top with the grated cheese and air fryer for a further 1-2 minutes until the cheese has melted.2 teaspoon Butter,50 g Extra Mature Cheddar
- Spread on the marmite if using.¼ teaspoon Marmite

Expert Tips:
- To lower the fat content of the recipe, skip the butter and use reduced fat cheese.
- Save time and use cheese slices in place of the grated cheddar.
- Don’t use pre-grated cheese, freshly grated tastes so much better!
- Don’t overcrowd your air fryer basket. There must be clear gaps between each crumpet. Air fryer in 2 batches if you need to.
Variations:
- Try using sliced brie or crumbled blue cheese instead of cheddar.
- Top with red onion chutney or cranberry sauce instead of marmite.
- Add a slice of ham underneath the cheese!
