🧀 Air Fryer Cheese Scones

📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp paprika or mustard powder (optional for flavor)
  • ½ cup (120g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup (100g) grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup (180ml) milk
  • 1 egg (for brushing – optional)

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and paprika.
  2. Add butter:
    • Rub in the cold cubed butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. Add cheese:
    • Stir in grated cheese.
  4. Add milk:
    • Gradually add milk and mix to form a soft dough (don’t overwork it).
  5. Shape the scones:
    • Lightly flour your hands and form the dough into a ¾-inch (2 cm) thick round.

  6. Prepare for air frying:
    • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
