Cajun Salmon and Shrimp

cajun Salmon and Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 10–12 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat salmon and shrimp evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  5. If baking: place salmon and shrimp on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, until salmon flakes easily and shrimp are pink.
    • If pan-searing: cook salmon for 4–5 minutes per side and shrimp for 2 minutes per side until golden.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with parsley.

Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
