
Baked Potato Recipe (for Beginners)
Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
Optional toppings:
- Butter
- Sour cream
- Shredded cheese
- Chives or green onions
- Bacon bits
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Scrub potatoes clean and dry them thoroughly.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
- Place potatoes directly on the oven rack (with a baking sheet below to catch drips).
- Bake for 45–60 minutes, until the skins are crispy and a fork slides in easily.
- Slice open, fluff with a fork, and add desired toppings.
